Sho, every time the Springboks run onto the field you can feel the whole country stop for a minute. Whether you’re a hardcore rugby fan or you just pull in for the World Cup, there’s something about that green and gold jersey that makes you proud to be South African.
I still get goosebumps thinking about the way the Boks grind out wins. It’s never just about the score – it’s the heart, the physical battles, the big tackles that leave the stadium shaking. And when the team sings the anthem, eish, you can see it’s more than a game. It’s a whole nation coming together.
What I love most is how the Springboks pull people from every corner of SA. In the township taverns, in the suburbs, in tiny dorps, we all shout the same “Bokke!” when they break the line. That feeling of unity is rare, and we need it.
